This program sets a cookie when a visitor enters your site. The value of the cookie is the referrer (where the visitor came from). This cookie can then be retrieved for various reasons, typically if the visitor makes a purchase or joins your site, you can retrieve the cookie upon purchase. This helps you to determine which referrers are actually sending you "quality" traffic.

This script was designed for a web site that had an opening page with an enter link for the site. After pressing the link, the user would be sent to fill out a form. If the user fills out the form, the user would be sent to the main page of the site and a cookie is installed. Next time the user returns clicks the enter link, he will be sent to the main page.

  CGI Cookie Test Scripts  New!
There are two versions of the Cookie Test Script. Cookie Test Script places a cookie on the client browser, then lets you change it. An Encrypted (64 character) version can be used to create and test encrypted cookies which will tell you when someone has tampered with the cookie since it was last sent to the client browser.
